Guided Tour through Stone Town
For centuries Zanzibar port was the most important trading point
of East Africa with ships coming in and going out to India, the
Arab region, the African mainland and Europe. The best way to
experience the richness and deep intercultural exchange of this
time is a guided tour through Stone Town with an accredited tourist
guide. In the labyrinth of narrow alleys the guide will show you
interesting artefacts like the carved Arab doors with brass studs,
and will approach you to places such as the kanga market or the
house of slave trader Tippu Tip.
